Dr. Michael A. Wooten
Chiropractic Healer/Sports Enthusiast
Dr. Michael A. Wooten received his Chiropractic degree in 1994. His undergraduate studies at Cal Poly
and UCLA led to degrees in Biology and Chemistry, with a minor in Mathematics. He also holds a Master's
degree in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the prestigious Los Angeles College of
Chiropractic, graduating with Honors, and being nominated to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.
As an avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Wooten participated in five varsity sports during college. He is still active in tennis and volleyball, and competes at the National level in both sports. In 1984 and 1985, he won the Collegiate Superstars Competition, enabling him to compete with World Class athletes in the Bahamas, which he won in 1985. It is no surprise that Dr. Wooten specializes in sports injuries and is currently working with members of the US Ski team, ATP and WTA professional tennis tours, members of the AVP professional beach volleyball association, along with local and National collegiate athletes. He also treats members of the US Equestrian Team (both human and equine). Dr. Wooten also enjoys treating a full range of musculoskeletal conditions and health issues in his Family Practice.
Nina began her relationship with The Belmont Health Center as a patient, while employed as a Corporate Trainer for an International Bank. Arduous travel and an exhaustive work schedule led to a Worker's Comp claim that made her a "regular" of the practice. She began creating small marketing campaigns that eventually led to a full-time position as Marketer Extraordinaire/Office Manager. Nina is a So Cal Native who received her education at our own Cal State Long Beach "several" years ago.
Office Receptionist/Karaoke Singer
Karen came to our practice with several years of experience as a Chiropractic Front Desk Receptionist. She took the initiative and strategically approached our need for a permanent member of the office. When you call the practice, its Karen's warm and friendly voice you hear at the other end of the line. Karen is a working mom of an adorable four-year old named Jade, who can be seen running around our movie nights making us all smile at her outgoing, confident personality. You can also catch Karen karaoke singing around town on weekends.
RID (Registered Interpreter for the Deaf) Certified Interpreter
Greg visits our practice on Fridays to assist Dr. Wooten with our hearing impaired patients. Greg received his education at California State University, Northridge and received his RID certification in San Diego, California. He works full time at Riverside Community College as a sign language interpreter coordinator. He is a Southern California native currently living in Anaheim, California. Similar to Dr. Wooten, Greg is a sports enthusiast/fitness trainer and is available by personal appointment for fitness and nutrition consultations.
Jeff is another patient who recently joined our team. He provides IT consulting services to BHC. He also designed and maintains this web site. His many interests and hobbies include world travel, photography, DJ'ing, and cars.
Massage Therapist/Working Mom
Alison began working with Belmont Health Center in 2007. She earned her massage therapy certification at Southbay Massage College Manhattan Beach, California. She is a working mom with two beautiful teenaged daughters, Megan and Brooke, which keep her busy and on the road. In her spare time (yeah, right?), Alison keeps in shape by hiking Southern California nature trails and exploring local natural preserves with her family and friends.
Brian received his massage certification at the Institute of Psycho Structural Balancing in 1999 and has been a massage therapist at Belmont Health Center intermittently since 2003. He specializes in deep tissue, sports and Swedish massage. When not at the practice, Brian works independently with private clients in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, and Bel Air. Brian enjoys the Southern California lifestyle and keeps fit running local trails and competing in marathons. Members of Brian's family live locally and in Virginia and he's fortunate to spend quality time on both coasts.
Massage Therapist, Singer/Songwriter
Kelli has been a massage therapist at BHC since 2004. She received her massage certification at Bryman College in Torrance, California. Upon first glance, you may think that this tiny person could not possibly give an effective massage, but do not be deceived! Despite her size, this tiny dynamo gives a therapeutic massage that will take you to another world. When not massaging, Kelli spends her time writing songs and performing locally.
Massage Therapist/Motorcycle Enthusiast
Martin received his massage certification at Harbor Medical College in Torrance in 2001. He has been working for us since earlier this year. Patients who prefer deep, therapeutic massages will enjoy his style. Martin is a motorcycle enthusiast and can be seen around town on his Ninja Kawasaki 600 any day the weather permits.
